2008 January : North Carolina Marina

Carolina Beach, NC USA

A recently redeveloped 100 slip Marina on the North Carolina ICW required path lighting for a 600 feet slip access docks. In the past, low voltage lighting had been used with continual maintenance and product failures due to the harsh coastal environment. The developer wanted a corrosion resistant lighting solution with little to no maintenance.

DG Lights Paso LED lighting fixtures were the clear choice. Made out of solid brass with sealed optics, the Paso provides warm, even pools of light based on the height of the fixture. The solid brass core provides critical heat dissipation for stable light output up to 50,000 hours.

A row of mature palm trees provided the opportunity to offer a visual landmark for the marina. DG lights Solid Brass Phoenix lighting provides the exact effect the developer was looking for, which is for the palms to be seen clearly from a distance in the waterway.

A second phase of development will add a new ships store, condominiums, and a second floor restaurant. DG lights fixtures will be used to effectively and efficiently meet the challenge.
